Job description

DESCRIPTION

Business Intelligence Internship (M/F)

Location: EU Headquarters - Luxembourg
Duration: 4 - 6 months
Over the past 25 years, Amazon has reinvented on behalf of the consumer and has become one of the largest internet retailers and marketplaces in the world with more than 300 million active customer accounts, more than 2 million active seller accounts, and over $200 billion in revenue globally. Amazon Business is dedicated to serving the needs of business customers and we are focused on building the largest and most innovative Business-to-Business (B2B) marketplace in the world. We are recruiting a handful of the best and brightest to make this vision a reality.

Amazon Business represents an incredible opportunity to address a vast new market segment and customer base and is an area of high investment for Amazon. We are focused on building solutions to enable B2B customers to discover, research, and buy products and services from a vast selection, across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions. Our customers include individual professionals, small businesses to large institutions (and everything in between) that buy in either high frequency or in bulk quantities. Our B2B customers have different needs than the traditional Amazon customer and thus we have to reinvent everything from how we display our selection, price our products, and provide the right customer experience.

Some qualities that we are looking for: you are results oriented (and have a track record of repeatedly delivering great results); you are an innovator; you have the intellect and energy to solve really complex problems (some may say impossible to solve); you have relentlessly high standards (some may say too high); you operate well in an ambiguous environment; and finally, you have a burning desire to be a part of something really big.

Responsibilities include:

· Pan EU responsibility for analyzing data to help shape strategies and tactics for developing the B2B marketplace
· Learn to build reliable data pipelines to be able to crunch billions of rows of data
· Analyze and solve business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context
· Tracking business activity and providing clear, compelling management reporting on a regular basis
· Learn how to collaborate with multiple teams across multiple functional areas (from Sales to Product Management) throughout the EU, Japan, India and the US
· Learn how to develop and roll out mathematical models to understand customer behavior and needs.
