The Amazon EU Student Programs Team are looking for ambitious students to join us at the heart of our core consumer business for 6 months. As a Business Intelligence Engineer Intern, you will be working in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments. You should have experience in the design, creation, management, and business use of large datasets. You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to develop and define key business questions, and to build data sets that answer those questions.

Responsibilities Include:

You will help simplifying strategic initiatives that directly impact our customers across Europe by applying automation. You will develop new data engineering patterns that leverage AWS. You will extend or migrate our existing data pipelines to this architecture as needed. You will be responsible for designing and implementing the pipelines in data warehouse platform and other BI solutions to support the rapidly growing and dynamic business demand for data, and use it to deliver the data as service which will have an immediate influence on day-to-day decision making at Amazon.
· Interfacing with business customers, gathering requirements, and developing new datasets
· Optimizing the performance of business-critical queries
· Identifying the data quality issues to address them immediately to provide great user experience
· Extracting and combining data quality issues to address them immediately to provide great user experience
· Extracting and combining data from various heterogeneous data sources
· Modelling data and metadata to support ad-hoc and pre-built reporting

Application and Assessment Process
Eligible candidates will be invited to attend an online assessment and successful candidates will be invited to attend a video interview. The final stage of the selection process will be a full day assessment centre based at one of Amazon's offices. This selection process is subject to change but you will be notified if any changes are made.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
