DESCRIPTION

The AWS Business Technology and Solutions (BTS) team is looking for an outstanding Business Analyst to join the Master Data Management (MDM) team.
The MDM team is committed to building and enhancing the platform that will support AWS’ rapidly growing customer data needs.
You will be owning and maintaining the best version of customer data within the MDM platform. You will also be accountable for defining and managing data governance standards for data quality and metadata to support our business stakeholders.
Our ideal candidate must be a self-starter, be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, own deliverables end to end, prioritize workload effectively, and thrive in a dynamic environment. This individual must also work well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints. This role requires good communication skills and the ability to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Responsible for establishing and maintaining Customer data Taxonomy and related reference data
· Work with data owners on processes to enable and ensure data quality, evangelizing the importance of good data hygiene
· Manage customer data human tasks and matched data results within Informatica Data Quality and Informatica MDM
· Work with various business stakeholders and external vendors to shape and define consistent data management practices
· Perform routine data management activities like analysis, cleansing, and reporting
· Participate in large data integration and data quality projects
· Develop Subject Matter expertise of the AWS master data processes and how it impacts upstream and downstream solutions
· Create or contribute to business requirements documents, user training documents and implementation documentation as necessary
· Partner with the technical team to continually improve automation of data changes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
· Experience supporting critical reporting or financial systems
· Ability to keep composure in high stress situations, and work toward resolution and root cause analysis
· Strong understanding of business processes and how technology can enhance and improve these processes
· Experience prioritizing competing demands, scoping large efforts and negotiating timelines
· Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment and quantitative analytics
· Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively organize and communicate across functional and technical lines
· Strong analytical skills to formulate logic for new systems, devise logic designs, and prepare flowcharts for new programs and processes
· Attention to detail and capability to work on multiple projects in parallel
· Confidence in dealing with technical and non-technical senior level staff

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years' experience as a Data/Business Analyst.
· Proficient in writing basic SQL queries or using reporting tools to research data anomalies or gather historical data in order to analyze problems or trends.
· Expertise in data quality processes including transliteration, parsing, analysis, standardization and data enrichment
· Ability to perform complex data analysis, data profiling and creating recommendations for improving data quality
· Knowledge of Master Data Management concepts
· Bachelor’s degree in Math, Finance, or Statistics or equivalent work experience
