DESCRIPTION

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Associate Corporate Counsel, you will be a key member of Audible’s legal team providing wide-ranging support to Audible’s cutting-edge businesses. You will work closely with Audible and Amazon stakeholders on a variety of transactions and initiatives as well as provide day-to-day strategic and legal advice.

Principal duties include serving as the lead counsel to the Audible for Business and business development teams and counseling other business partners on new product and feature development; new ventures and strategic initiatives; software licensing and SaaS onboarding; as well as general legal areas such as structuring, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts and advising on consumer protection laws and other regulatory matters.

The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about media and technology, possess exceptional analytical and communication skills, and enjoy being continually challenged in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. A good sense of humor, sound judgment, and ability to navigate amongst conflicting priorities are essential.

This position is based at our Newark, NJ campus – 20 minutes from Manhattan.

Occasional travel, including travel to Amazon.com’s headquarters in Seattle, WA, will be required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with product counseling, B2B services, tech transactions and/or digital media
· Fluency in a language other than English is a plus

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· J.D. from a top-tier law school
· 2+ years of commercial or transactional legal experience at a leading global law firm and/or in-house at a major multinational corporation
· Member in good standing of at least one state bar
