As part of a school course in initial training, you are looking for a mandatory internship or integration into a gap year, lasting from 4 to 6 months maximum, allowing you to validate your year.

An internship offer in Architecture Studies and pre-dimensioning of a new aircraft (M/F) has just been opened within Airbus at our Toulouse site.

This internship is to be filled from January 2020 (date subject to some flexibility) .

This internship is offered within the aircraft architecture and structural integration team operating in the field of future developments.

The mission of this team is to develop constructive principles (for future aircraft programs) supported by multidisciplinary analysis and pre-dimensioning.

The candidate will be integrated into the team of architectural studies for preliminary projects to support the choice of structural constructional principles for future aircraft.

Tasks and responsibilities:

You will be under the responsibility of a manager who will help you identify your professional objectives and support you in the development of your skills.

In this context, your main activities will be as follows:

- Carrying out comparative studies of technical solutions for different aircraft configurations.

These comparative studies will be based on multidisciplinary elements involving the design of the structure, its dimensioning, compatibility with the installation of the systems and the cabin, the physics of flight, industrial implementation...

This role requires a good understanding of the design and dimensioning of structures and requires notions of flight physics, industrial implementation,...

Required profile and skills required :

You are in the Master's or final year of an engineering school and you have the following skills:

- Open-mindedness, a spirit of synthesis, agility, flexibility... to propose and analyse new technical solutions,

- Experience with CAD tools (Catia V5 preferred) is required,

- You will be in contact with different Airbus departments and partners, so a good relationship will be expected,

- An advanced level of English (written and oral) will be required.

Depending on the offers offered, you may have to travel.
