Job Description

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). For Airbus in Hamburg within the Design Sourcing/Authority Management Department we are looking for a VIE (d/f/m) for Data Management and Improvement

Start: May 2020

Duration: 12 - 24 months

Our department, which is a team of 15 people working in both France and Germany, is responsible for engineering subcontracting strategy & operations (processes, methods and tools), delegation of technical authority and design organisation approval (DOA) supplier control.

We are looking for a creative individual, who has a strong interest in digitalisation, data management and new ways of working. The position is an excellent opportunity to innovate, to understand the business side of Airbus engineering (with specific focus on design sourcing) and to build an appreciation for cross-functional collaboration.

Tasks and responsibilities:

·  Contribute to improvement projects and data management (engineering suppliers’ performance database, ordering tools, supplier connectivity, etc.)
·  Set-up and maintain digital solutions for communication, data sharing & storage
·  Support the team to further develop and improve the engineering subcontracting process, DOA supplier control and delegation of technical authority
·  Supplier and technical authority delegation data analysis and support to management decisions
·  Contribute to the exploration of new ways of forking (self-empowerment, communication, etc.

You offer:

·  Master degree (or equivalent) in General Engineering and/or Computer Science
·  Interest in aeronautics and a good knowledge of this sector
·  Good knowledge of project management (both classical and agile would be an advantage)
·  English negotiation level
