Job Description

A vacancy for an Instrumentation systems Engineer for flight test (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join the Test Instrumentation Components department, within the Engineering Flight and Integration Tests Center.

You will be part of a dynamic and open-minded team of engineers and experts.

You will be in charge of developing and maintaining innovative instrumentation systems dealing with data acquisition, recorders, network, IoT, etc.

You will be working in transversal projects involving multiple Airbus departments and external partners and suppliers, acting as a project leader and technical focal point.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Driving projects and developments of new instrumentations systems
·  Integrating and validating new tests means (Flight and Ground)
·  Seeking for continuous improvement and simplification
·  Fostering innovation and new technologies from customer market (IoT, MEMS, Wireless, AI plateforms...)

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to master degree level (or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering or related discipline
·  Experience in embedded systems development, dealing with key functions such as data acquisition, edge computing, and connectivity (IoT).
·  Background in analog & digital electronics
·  Knowledge in instrumentation and monitoring equipment
·  Knowledge of the V&V lifecycle and associated deliverables
·  Interest in prototyping on evaluation boards
·  Project management skills
·  Strong willingness to innovate and to promote new ideas
·  Advanced level in English
