Job Description

A vacancy for a Rotor Analysis Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in Marignane. You will join the Analysis team of the Rotors and Suspension Engineering department and integrate the group dedicated to support activities of Rotors and Suspension for the commercial and governmental Helicopters (H215, H225, NH90, Tiger, etc.).

You will work directly on the critical parts of the rotors in a high-tech environment, over the life cycle of the products.

This position will allow you to perform technical studies until their completion, including ground test and flight test follow-up when necessary.

This position is open only on a local contract and will require a security clearance or be eligible for it by the competent authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

·  Analyze the Major Incidents that occurred on the helicopters in service and answer to customer support requests. It can be stress analysis, fatigue test request and follow-up, flight test request, Finite Element Modelling, Damage tolerance analysis, depending on the topics;
·  Analyze the stresses and substantiate the resistance of the parts (metallic and composites) under static and fatigue loads for Change Projects (upgrade of the aircraft, change of flight loads, change of design etc.…);
·  Prepare detailed data and documents to be provided to the authorities to guarantee the objectives of safety, performance, manufacturing, structural integrity, maintainability and costs for Change Projects

Required skills:

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.
·  At least 6 years of experience on mechanical part analysis
·  Finite element modelling skills (hypermesh, samcef…)
·  Team spirit, autonomous, rigorous
·  Language Skills: Advanced of English
