Job Description

The Quality Improvement Projects department is responsible for transversal and transfunctional improvement projects within the Airbus Defence and Space Quality function across the business. We are responsible for deployment of:

·  Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to ensure on Quality, on Time and on Cost delivery of projects
·  Core Quality Tools
·  Managing the roll out of a new non-conformance and tracking database system. (NC-CAPA)
·  Momentum : Cost saving and efficiency project

Depending on the period and duration of your internship, you'll assist the Quality Improvement Manager to implement and coordinate those multidisciplinary projects and APQP.

This job is located in Stevenage Airbus Defence and Space. Occasional travel to Portsmouth is required.

Tasks

During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include;

Improvement Project Management Support

·  Support Quality Improvement Manager and project managers on day to day activities as well as activities related to project communication, documentation and deployment
·  Support project leader on preparation, facilitation and consolidation of workshops materials and documents
·  Support with communication of project and answering user requests related to the project via mediums such as phone, jabber, emails or HUB (SharePoint Content Management System )
·  Analysis and research aspects related to the projects
·  Lean how to use NC-CAPA and deliver training to local teams

APQP Support:

- Support the APQP Coach and Leaders with day to day activities as well as the APQP IT Tool maintenance, analysis and documentation

- Support the APQP Leader with preparation, execution and follow up of KBD assessments

- Support the APQP standard and IT tool evolution

- Support managing the APQP community with focus on UK

Momentum:

Momentum is the Airbus DS cost and efficiency improvement initiative.

Support with analysis and documentation as well as data management for this project. (UPDev)

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;

Required Skills:

- Studying in a Business related degree, or Engineering or Quality.

- Basic Knowledge of Quality Management

- Able to work in an international environment

- Displays proven planning and organising skills

- Able to ask pertinent questions and challenges the status quo

- Adapt your communication to the audience

- Willing to propose initiative and ideas for improvement

- Proficient in Microsoft Power Point, Excel and able to understand, use and explain databases

- Advanced level in English
