Job Description

Start Date: 1st April 2020

Duration: 12 to 24 Months

Location: Filton, Bristol

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.

We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 21 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). Candidates meeting these criteria and interested in a VIE, please register before your 28th birthday on the website www.civiweb.com. An exciting opportunity has arisen in the transnational Quality team, who support Airframe non-specific design, looking into design analysis and test activities. You will have an opportunity to be involved with other departments such as the Landing Gear and Wing teams.

Tasks & Accountability:

You will lead and drive the resolution of complex quality issues and continuous improvement projects by setting the measurement standards and identifying/facilitating improvements to increase:

·  Process performance and product adherence to standards
·  Reliability of processes - Repeatability of processes, at initial design phase, before any process changes are made and continuously through the life of a product
·  Guarantee the conformity of a product/service to the requirements specified by our customers
·  Support on quality on time and on cost delivery by delivering right first time to increase customer loyalty.

Required skills:

·  Graduated with a degree in Engineering or a related subject
·  Demonstrates an interest in Engineering, Quality and the Aerospace industry
·  Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and share knowledge successfully.
·  Must be flexible in a fast paced, changing environment
·  Must be fluent in both spoken and written English
