As part of a school curriculum in initial training , you are looking for a mandatory internship or integrated into a gap year , that will allow you to validate your studies. The internship duration is 4 to 6 months maximum.

We are looking for an I nt ernship - Nacelle Structural Analysis Engineer (M/F) who will be joining us at Airbus site in Toulouse.

This internship is to be filled from Q1 2020 (the dates are subject to a certain flexibility).

The objective of the internship is to perform modelisation and develop structural analysis method for slider fitting on thrust reverser component of nacelles.

·  Tasks and Responsibilities:

In the frame of a program under development and in collaboration with the research department, the trainee will have to develop structural analysis method of slider fitting and to perform some modelisation to support the justification and certification of the nacelle.

You will be managed by the nacelle stress referent and will be in contact with the nacelle engineering teams of several Airbus programs developing new innovative nacelles of tomorrow.

·  Required skills :

You are preparing a diploma level Bac+ 5, in (domain of the studies) mechanics or equivalent, with specialisation in structural analyses and modelisation and you obtain following competences:

·  Structural behaviour and failure criteria knowledge of metallic structures,
·  Finite element analysis knowledge and experience (use of Hypermesh and Nastran),
·  Contact theory and Finite element modelisation knowledge (Non Linear solver),
·  Excel/VBA knowledge for FEM post-processing,
·  Very good learning and working ability,
·  Autonomy, agility, dynamism, open-mindedness and team spirit,
·  French and English understanding and speaking.

The nacelle is a rich and complex aero-structure, loaded by aerodynamic and engine loads.

The slider is an important fitting allowing the translation of the thrust reverser component of the nacelle to inverse the aerodynamic flux and to brake the aircraft after landing.

You will have many opportunities to improve your technical and soft skills with:

- Hybrid structures metallic/composite inside the nacelle components,

- Static loads, fatigue and DT approach, engine failure loading, aerodynamic, thermal and vibrations loading,

- Big supplier companies and engine manufacturers to work with,

- Knowledge of all Airbus Programs,

- Innovative Nacelle with important challenges for Airbus,

- Multi-task environment, working with several dynamic engineering teams.

Depending on the specifics of the offer, you may have to travel to another locations.
