Description of the job

A vacancy for a Product Owner in the DMU (Digital Mock Up) Train (m/f) has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse.

You will join the Physical Aircraft Industrialization and Customer Services Value Stream - Design for Integration Sub Value Stream Department.

We develop and deploy the standards (Methods and Tools), skills, and competences for the airframe community.

As Product Owner in the DMU services Release Train (DMU ART), you will be part of the transformation of our PM&T, enabling a breakthrough in our design methodologies and reduction of the aircraft development cycle.
You will play an important part in projects like 'DDMS', 'Quantum Digital Continuity' or 'PLM of the future'.

Working in SAFE methodology, you will be a member of the Agile Team responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of priorities while maintaining integrity of the Features or components for the team. You will have a significant role in quality control and be the only team member empowered to accept stories as done.

Task & accountabilities:

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Analysing the Delta between as-is DMU tools (all programs) and to-be tools.

You will do it in a detailed manner, going down not only to functionalities but also on end users E2E use cases,

- Managing the Strategy of retirements:
* completing and maintaining a relevant network of end users allowing you to build this strategy,
* evaluating the relevance of a tool versus another, even if their objectives are not totally the same,
* ensuring wise decision, balancing the pressing need of as-is tools retirement and the risks of retiring a tool when not all the functions/features are covered by new tools,

- Identifying the tool dependences with other downstream tools,

- Identifying if the train is able to cover downstream connections or if any out of train existing or to be created tools will do so,

- Facilitating a team already set and running.

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills :

You will have the following skills and experience:

- Educated to 5 years ‘degree in Engineering,
- Agile Methodology knowledge will be appreciated,
- Ability to work effectively in a transnational team,
- Autonomy, proactivity and ability to influence and steer topics,
- Languages skills: advanced level of English.
