Job Description

Secure Land Communications (SLC), an Airbus business unit, offers advanced communication and collaboration solutions to gather, process and deploy intelligence. Its portfolio is tailored to the needs of Public Safety, Defence and Transport, Utility and Industry (TUI). It includes infrastructures, devices, applications and services based on Tetra, Tetrapol and Broadband technologies (either single, hybrid or multi-technology solutions). As the European leader and a key international player, SLC has customers in more than 80 countries and employs around 1,150 people in 17 countries. In Finland, Airbus Defence and Space Oy employs around 320 people in Helsinki and Jyvaskyla.

The telecommunications business of Airbus in Finland is looking for a  Procurement Trainee  to our Helsinki office. The position is part of our Trainee Programme. You will get an opportunity to work with a procurement process and improve your business skills with interesting tasks. International atmosphere gives you the chance to brush up your language skills and to work with people from various backgrounds. Support from your experienced and skilled colleagues together with versatile work tasks ensure a successful and worthwhile trainee period. 

Tasks & Responsibilities 

Your main tasks include general procurement support activities (sourcing of goods and services for consumption by internal stakeholders, placing POs to suppliers) and vendor creation in SAP (collecting the related supplier information, opening supplier accounts in SAP). 

What we expect of you

You are aiming for a business degree and preferably you have completed sourcing/purchasing studies. Advanced studies (2-3 years) is seen as an asset. You should have good SAP skills and basic MS Office skills in order to be successful in this position. A fluent English language skill is a prerequisite and other languages are seen as an advantage. We expect you to learn quickly, be good in co-operation and have an efficient way of working. 

The duration of the trainee period is one year and will start as agreed. The position is full-time during summer 2020 and part-time (at least 3 days a week) during other times. We offer you a salary based on recommendations and good benefits.
