As part of a school curriculum in initial training , you are looking for a mandatory internship or integrated into a gap year , that will allow you to validate your studies. The internship duration is 6 months.

We are looking for Aircraft development Maturity Gates consistency project manager

who will be joining us at Airbus site in our Saint-Martin site in Toulouse.

This internship is to be filled from 1st February until 31st July (flexibility)

You will be joining the department «Quality Programme on A320 New Development » which activities include the Operational Quality for the Programme function as business partner insuring deliverables right first time, with an independent voice representing as well all Quality function in front of the Programme

Programme Quality is a key enabling Function for the New Products Introduction projects. By nature, New Project Introduction teams are transnational. As a consequence, the job holder, will have to interact with other organizations in other countries (UK and France and Germany typically, Spain possibly), and will be part of an organization based transitionally.

New development process is becoming more and more complex and need to be driven insuring both Programme development plan (MG; PDR; exPDR; Industrial review) as well as APQP methodology (Advanced Product Quality Planning).

In the process, it is essential to insure that all the requirement (Technical, Program, Industrial, Quality, Services) are cascaded, validated & verified. 

Mission on Quality Programme is to insure the robustness of the process.

The objective of the internship is to insure the consistency of the process methods and tools and check list in an end to end (E2E) view.

For that is necessary to review the current process “as is” and build a proposal to be apply as quick win in current projects and a long term solution interacting with digital solution (DDMS).

·  Tasks and Responsibilities :

You will be working under the supervision of your manager who will help you identify your professional objectives and support you in the development of your skills.

Your main activities will include:

·  APQP understanding and deployment for new program Development.

Implement all preventive activities to ensure 'Quality Right First Time', and especially drive the disciplined application of the Core Tools (D/PFMEA, KC / CTI, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, …) and the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Process) throughout the project phases (Decision tree, Quality Plan Timing, Key Business Deliverables assessment, progress status, …) :

·  Process compliance

Compliance to the Airbus 'Product Development Process' and the 'SA Programme Quality Policy' :

·  Framing of the New Product Introduction Process

Understanding the Top Level Quality Requirements for the project, and ensuring they are correctly cascaded and adhered to

Understanding and co-defining the architecture of the different Product Development reviews (technical reviews, Programme reviews, Industrial reviews, Maturity Gate reviews,…

Defining the 'deliverables check list' which will be used at each Maturity Gate, to drive compliance to the Airbus 'Product Development Plan'

Ensuring that the Deliverables which have to be presented during the Maturity Gates reviews are done on time and on quality

Ensuring that the outcomes of the Maturity Gates reviews are acted upon in due time

Define and deploy the New Product Development project Quality Plan, detailing all principles and activities to be implemented in each project to ensure 'quality right first time'

·  Insure consistency and robustness in the process

Links into DDMS (Digital Design Manufacturing and Services) project.

·  Required skills :

You are preparing a diploma level Bac+ 5, in ENGINEERING AERONATICAL OR INDUSTRIAL or equivalent, with specialisation in PROCESS AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT and you obtain following competences:

·  Knowledge in Quality,
·  Competences in Quality Standards such as D/PFMEA, Control Plan, …
·  Knowledge in New Product Introduction Processes, End to End
·  Experience in APQP deployment
·  Knowledge in Engineering would be an asset.
·  Project management basics
·  Stakeholders management, Change management experience

- English: ADVANCE

- French: ADVANCE is a plus

·  Capacity to give meaning and to influence and communicate with different audiences
