Description of the job :
A vacancy for a Military Systems Maintenance Program Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Madrid.

The jobholder main role is to contribute to the main accountability of the Department: the Airworthiness Authorities approval of the different aircraft /products Maintenance Programs (Maintenance Review Board Report) under Airbus DS responsibility, as part of the Instruction for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) required by FAR/CS 25.1529 regulation in order to obtain the aircraft/product.

The successful applicant should be able to work on shifts, if required.

Task & accountabilities :
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Perform and optimize MSG-3 analyses in order to identify/optimize Scheduled Maintenance Requirements for those aircraft under Airbus DS responsibility. Presentation of Systems MSG-3 analyses in front of operators and authorities.
- Collaborate with other department disciplines (Structure, Zonal, MPD) when required.
- Analysis of aircraft design changes/modifications regarding the impact on the MSG-3 analyses and MRBR.
- Provide inputs to Supportability/Maintainability and GSE Departments associated to the scheduled maintenance requirements defined. Collaboration and support with other departments. Support for Maintenance Planning Document - MPD production.
- Perform In-service customer maintenance inspection reports analysis for intervals evolutions/escalations exercises for the Maintenance Review Board Report (MRBR).
- Development of solutions and customization of Operator's Maintenance Programs.
- Answer to technical queries from operators related to scheduled maintenance requirements.

This role will involve some travel for business less than four times a year and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills :
You will have the following skills and experience:

¤  Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in Aeronautical engineering or related.

¤  From 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.

¤  Strong knowledge in aircraft systems maintenance is required,
¤  Highly concerned by Customer service and service minded,
¤  Good co-ordination and relational skills to deal with Customers, Suppliers and other Airbus Defence and Space departments,
¤  Reliable Team player, with a good sense of reporting, Ability to cope with highly demanding environment,
¤  Language Skills: Negotiation level of English and Spanish is a must.
