Job Description

Digital Electronic Hardware Detailed Design: The demonstrated ability to master the design and/or perform analysis of digital electronic circuits including design and layout of printed circuit boards, logic circuits, schematic capture, signal integrity, timing analysis, worst case analysis, environmental constraints. Knowledge of test and measurement techniques as well as latest digital design tools. Ability to provide sufficient detailed data and information about system elements to enable the implementation consistent with architectural entities as defined in models and views of the system architecture and in accordance with the allocated requirements.Ability to verify the compliance of a detailed, mono ATA, design solution toward baseline of validated requirements.

Microelectronic design engineer to design, implement, and verify ASICs and/or FPGAs for space applications, according to space electronics design rules, methods and standards.

Requirements:

High degree in engineering, preferably Telecommunication Engineering or Industrial Engineering, and high background in Microelectronics.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in design of FPGAs or ASICs. Previous experience in space projects is a plus.

Knowledge in Hardware description languages VHDL and Verilog is essential. System Verilog is a plus.

Knowledge in Mixed-Signal ASICs development.

Knowledge in high level synthesis is a plus.

Scripting languages Python, TCL, Bash, and programming languages C/C++.

ASIC and FPGA design tools from Synopsys, Mentor, Microsemi, Xilinx, Altera.

Knowledge in digital signal processing, digital image processing and control theory is a plus.

Knowledge in model based design, and matlab, simulink environment is a plus.

Main tasks:

Analysis and synthesis of the high level requirements

Creation of the specification of the low level design based on higher level requirements

Architecture definition of the design

RTL VHDL/Verilog implementation of the design with unitary and system level simulations

HDL code coverage analysis

Synthesis and layout of the design

Timing analysis and IF worst case analysis of the implemented design

Automation of tasks by scripting

Interaction with other design teams for the implementation, verification and validation of the design.

Implementation of control algorithms, digital signal processing algorithms in FPGAs and ASICs.
