Job Description

A vacancy for a ME Business Methods Engineer (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus in Hamburg at the earliest possible start date.

In your future role you will be responsible for defining the manufacturing engineering methods, processes and rules for the A320 final assembly lines (FALs) in Hamburg, Toulouse, Tianjin and Mobile. Furthermore, you will cooperate with other Airbus plants and programs for the implementation of best practices and business strategies acting as a center of competence.

In this position you'll be responsible for:

- Coordinating the interface between the different Manufacturing Engineering units and further Airbus organizations involved in the preparation of the next new program developments (next generation of products and industrial platforms)

- Analysing the impact of global transformations that will change the architecture of the A320 products, industrial systems and support & services

- Ensuring that the project deliverables for the A320 program are correctly allocated and achieved on time, quality and cost

- Using a project management approach to systematically track the deliverables of the running initiatives

- Reporting the status of different initiatives, project progress. Performing a clear stakeholder management in the SA program involving all affected organizations (

- Understanding the manufacturing engineering strategy, processes, methods and rules in the single aisle program

- Assessing manufacturing engineering documents and proposing strategic changes to optimize existing ways of working

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and qualifications:

·  Degree in mechanical, industrial or Aerospace engineering
·  Several years of professional experience in work preparation
·  Knowledge in the area of Aircraft production processes and project management
·  Extensive knowledge of netplanning and calculation systems as well as the handling of projects in this field
·  Good knowledge of SAP/R3 (PP/PM modules) and MS Office  
·  Knowledge in Airbus-specific IT tools (TiCon, Zamiz, TAKSY, DocMaster, etc.) would be a plus
·  Fluent in written and spoken English and German
