What do we exactly do and what could you expect?

In the research project CORINNE, a given rotor state feedback observer has to be implemented into the autopilot software using SCADE a graphical tool like Simulink to code the software.

In a second step, the software has to be tested on the AFCS test bench. The AFCS test bench is incorporating the real flight worthy hardware of the AFCS and a complete nonlinear simulation of the flight mechanics/physics. A tool chain has to be set up to compare the output of the observer with the rotor states given from the flight mechanical model. Based on this comparison a tuning algorithm is needed to optimize the observer settings.

Finally, in a post processing the implemented rotor states feedback observer results shall be compared to flight test data. If time permits, the controller shall be improved by using the rotor state feedback observer. A comparison of the performance of the existing and enhanced controller can be carried out.

What will be your scope of work?

In short and in summary:

·  Literature review about rotor state feedback
·  Implementation into the AFCS software
·  Implementation into the AFCS bench
·  Test on AFCS bench for data gathering
·  Evaluation of test bench data
·  Tuning of observer parameters according to the evaluation results
·  Post processing of flight test data and the observer data
·  Optionally: improving of exiting control law by using the observer, incl. performance comparison

You offer
