Job Description

We are looking for a candidate with an AI research-oriented profile who have knowledge of Multi-Core/Many-Core/GPU Processor Architectures and who would be interested to pursue a PhD following this internship .

Team & Environment :

·  You will join the « Architecture of Avionics Computer » department of our Airbus Commercial Aircraft division and be based in our Toulouse St Martin site.

The team activities include:

·  The architecture definition of Flight Computers,
·  Safety validation of Flight Computers,
·  Research on future flight computers especially Machine Learning algorithms.

This is for a 6 Months internship to be filled from April 2020 (the dates are subject to a certain flexibility).

Your Impact :

·  The objective of the internship will be to provide solution for embedding Artificial Intelligence Algorithms inside the Aircraft with respect to Avionics constraints.

Additional details about the internship :

Your main activities will include:

·  To identify the activities of the development life cycle that are necessary to develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulation and program requirements.
·  To define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases and gates.
·  To provide sufficient detailed data and information about system elements to enable the implementation consistent with architectural entities as defined in models and views of the system architecture and in accordance with the allocated requirements.

Your Boarding Pass:

·  You are preparing a Master’s Degree (Level BAC+5) in Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence with interest in Aeronautics Safety .
·  First Experience in developing solution with Machine Learning Algorithm inside and/or developing application for an Embedded Processor .
·  Ability to use proficiently such tools as C , Python , TensorFlow , PyTorch .
·  Rigorous, curious and autonomous.
·  Ability to integrate into team and to interact with researchers.
·  Advanced level of English.
