Job Description

A vacancy for a Fly-By-Wire System - Development Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in Marignane.

The main missions of the department are :
• Development of complete Fly-By-Wire Flight Control System (FBW) or subsystem/equipment of FBW during implementation phase, including integration, verification and validation activities up to certification.
• Follow-up and maintain FBW system and equipment to ensure continuing airworthiness and support to customer

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Task & accountabilities :

In the field of FBW system development and in-service support, your main responsibilities will include:

·  performing functional analysis (including performance, safety ...)
·  working out detailed functional definition of FBW System/Subsytems Functions
·  establishing FBW system software function high level & low level requirements to build a relevant set of specifications and design documents
·  performing development tests and verification of system functions by using offline simulation and test rigs
·  working out Qualification/Certification files at system/subsystem level
·  contributing to provide in-service support and to ensure continuing airworthiness

Required skills:

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to 5 years’ degree level in engineering
·  At least 5 years of experience
·  Experience in electronic, electrotechnic or control system engineering
·  Experience in safety would be a plus
·  Experience in aeronautic would be a plus
·  Expereince in Fly By Wire system would be a plus
·  Rigourous and methodic
·  Team spirit and service mindedness
·  Language Skills: Advanced level in English and French
