An exciting new internship has arisen in the Logistics Projects & Operations team. Where you will be given the opportunity to gain real life insights into logistics as well as learn how a successful logistics team operates. You will report to the logistics project manager

Tasks:

During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include;

·  Stakeholder Management – Ability to establish stakeholder networks including identification of decision makers and key players. 
·  Risk & Opportunity management - Ability to identify, assess and response (to reduce/to increase impact and/or probability) to risks and opportunities in his/her area of duty.
·  Interact & Influence - Ability to adapt and use multiple forms of communication styles to ensure that all people/stakeholders are willing and able to follow common objectives.
·  Ability to negotiate & influence using reasoned advocacy in order to gain buy-in as well as using facilitation techniques to manage situations of conflict.
·  Ability to use flexible and adaptable working styles to build and develop effective cross-functional team work.
·  Ability to interact with people of different cultural background in a constructive manner to achieve commonly accepted results.
·  Project Lifecycle Management - Ability to manage a project from initiation to closure including the transition from one project phase to the next.  
·  Ability to define, organize and manage milestones and deliverables.  Ability to build and manage team organisation. Ability to manage interfaces to all relevant functions and projects.
·  Ability to analyze and report project performance and gaps, and if necessary, evaluate possible alternatives / appropriate corrective actions.                                                                                                            
·  To liaise with the shopfloor operational teams and to be the link between operational logistics and projects.
·  To support the operational logistics teams with problem solving and analysis into repeat issues.
