As part of a school curriculum in initial training, you are looking for a mandatory internship or integrated into a gap year , lasting for a maximum 6 months , that will allow you to validate your studies.

A vacancy for an internship in the Use of SKYWISE database (m/f) has arisen within Airbus at our Toulouse Blagnac site.

This internship will start from January 2020 (dates are subject to some flexibility).

You will join the AIRBUS Service Bulletins department. The Service Bulletin (SB) is a document approved by the Certification Authorities and which allows to modify the aircraft definition after delivery.

The instruction of a SB requires various skills in the technical, commercial and production management fields. Depending on the classification of the SB, the airline can decide to implement the SB on its fleet or to not take it into consideration.

SKYWISE is a database used to collect the information provided by in-service aircraft, in particular to follow up on the implementation of SB.

The aim of the internship will be to use the date provided by SKYWISE and to monitor the rate of penetration of SB at airlines.

The analysis of this date will make it possible to define the main criteria used by the customers to decide on the integration of SB on their fleets.

This summary will be used to revise the criteria matrix used at AIRBUS to launch the instruction of SB.

A particular focus will be placed on the SBs approved upstream with customers to clearly demonstrate that the implementation rate of these SB is higher than those that are not co-defined with the companies.

A specific analysis will also be carried out on SB which have a very low rate of penetration: after the efficiency analysis of the technical solution, a promotion action can be initiated to promote these SB towards customers.

·  Tasks & responsibilities:

You will be under the responsibility of a manager who will help you identify your professional objectives and support you in the development of your skills.

In this context, your main activities will include:

- Performing a detailed analysis of the data present in SKYWISE

- Defining the application criteria of SB for airlines

- Updating the internal decision matrix

- Launching actions to promote SB with very low application rates

- Setting up a specific follow-up on SBs co-defined with the support of airlines

- Proposing improvements for the application used to manage SB data in SKYWISE with a study to extend it to other perimeters such as SB issued by suppliers

·  Required profile and skills:

You are completing a 5-year degree in Engineering or equivalent, with a focus on Software Engineering and you have the following skills:

- English: ADVANCED LEVEL

- French: ADVANCED LEVEL

- A strong interest in the digital world and digital data tools

- Knowledge of the aerospace environment

·  Interpersonal skills:

 - Meticulous, inquisitive and independent

- Good interpersonal skills and good communication skills

- Ability to integrate into an international team and adapt easily

- Recognised for your organisational skills

- Ability to analyse and synthesise

- and a team spirit.

Depending on the proposed offers, you may be required to travel.
