The NSS project in Doha (Qatar) is looking for an IT / System Support engineer.
The candidate will be part of the In Service Support (ISS) team to maintain the National Security Shield (NSS). He will report to the local ISS manager.
Tasks and accountabilities
Address and resolve IT incidents identified on the NSS system and/or escalate to engineering team in Europe;
Document incident/problem investigation and resolution status in both Airbus and NSS reporting systems (JIRA and CMMS);
Support troubleshooting and resolution of system level incident
Be in charge of the NSS System Platform environment;
Work in accordance with the established ITIL incident and problem management processes, through adherence of these processes implemented in JIRA;
Ensuring strict adherence to the Change Management process for system evolution (Change Request, Change proposals, solution design, impact assessment, Change execution…);
Follow Airbus Engineering processes;
Support site commissioning for the IT Infrastructure;
Implementation of a manual switch capability between different sites;
Support deployment of a manual archiving solution for operational recordings;
Review and assess project documentation and task cards.
Required experience / skills
Problem solving abilities and experience;
Understanding and experience with System Engineering;
Understanding and Experience in IVV/IVQ (Integration, verification and validation/Qualification);
Experience with Change Management processes;
Experience with Platform infrastructure management;
Experience of configuration, administration and maintenance of VMWare and virtual machines:
· ESXI servers;
Knowledge of IT infrastructure and applications management:
· Storage systems;
· Database (Oracle);
· Active Directory;
· NTP server ;
· Linux and Windows Operating systems;
· Software License management;
· File management/configuration (change history, installers);
· Oracle Identity Manager (OIM);
· Windows 2008 domain environment (AD-DNS);
· VMware 6.0 ;
· SAN environnement;
· Exchange 2007.
ITIL certification would be a plus
Good interpersonal communication skills, ability to work in a team as a team.
