Location: Friedrichshafen

Start: March/April

The future programmes earth observation and science department of Airbus - Space Systems in Friedrichshafen (Germany) runs the Laboratory for Enabling Technologies. The LET develops and tests Electric Propulsion for future space missions beside other activities.

Topic:

Electric propulsion development and testing.

Your Tasks:

·  Support of the thruster characterisation campaign;
·  Thruster assembling;
·  Data analysis;
·  Further development of our thruster test facility;
·  Plasma diagnostic development;
·  Thrust balance electronic development;
·  Power Processing Unit development and testing

You offer:

- Enrolled student within Aerospace Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or similar field of study

- Strong interest in electric propulsion and advanced propulsion concepts

- Good knowledge and understanding of measurement and control engineering

- Good knowledge of electrical engineering

- Knowledge in CAD, Matlab, Labview, Eagle

- Basic knowledge in plasma physics

- Englisch: fluent

You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently
