As part of a school curriculum in initial training , you are looking for a mandatory internship or integrated into a gap year ,that will allow you to validate your studies. The internship duration is 4 to 6 months maximum.

We are looking for a TECH DATA ENGINEER (m/f) who will be joining us at Airbus site in Toulouse – Colomiers/Guynemer .

This internship is to be filled from February 2020 (the dates are subject to a certain flexibility).

You will be joining the department « Technical Data Airframe » department in charge of Customer Support within Technical Data for several missions requiring the autonomy and general technical competence of a future engineer.

On a day-to-day basis, he/she drafts and validates technical data products (maintenance manual, repair manual, parts catalogue, etc.) in accordance with international standards, to ensure safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the equipment and to respect contractual commitments.

·  Tasks and Responsibilities :

You will be working under the supervision of your manager who will help you identify your professional objectives and support you in the development of your skills.

You will be involved in the main activities related to technical data, including writing, verification and validation, subcontracting management and customer support. Ensure the analysis and integration of design criteria that impact technical data products. Suggests improvements for IT tools and processes.

Your 3 main activities will include:

Complete review of aircraft zoning, labelling and marking procedures for the maintenance manual (AMM):

Review & harmonization of aircraft labelling and marking procedures for the maintenance manual (AMM) for all Airbus programs:

- Establish a mapping of the existing procedures of the various aircraft programs (AMM ATA 11)

- Gather existing procedures from the various aircraft programs

- Identify differences between aircraft programs

- Decide on a harmonized solution for all aircraft programs

- Submit the models to the Design Office for approval (for modified procedures)

- Participate in meetings with the Design Office

- Update the models with the comments of the Design Office

- On the basis of these models, launch and monitor the subcontracting activities for the final drafting.

- Carry out the new procedures for the installation/deposition of RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) labels for Airbus aircraft

- Analyze the Technical Data database of the aircraft Zones and access panels and identify the missing information in relation to the design office source data.

- Launching and steering corrective actions in subcontracting and ensure the quality control.

- This activity includes the organization of meetings as well as the reports drafting in a transnational environment.

Development of an innovative demonstrator (based on 3DEx) to navigate in the SRM Ident (identification of Structural Repair Manual parts):

- Integrate into the NIS project team (Nacelle Innovative Solution)

- Participate in the product architecture technical data

- Establish Use Cases for navigation in the 3D model and configuration evolution in service

- Participate in the design of a demonstrator

- Validate the concept and submit it to the CCB (Configuration Control Board)

Analysis of the evolution of the complexity of the technical maintenance data within the Structure department:

- In collaboration with the production and data mining teams as well as future project teams

- Define a set of data and associated complexity criteria

- Obtain a representative data base (Big Data) on an appropriate platform (e. g. Hadoop)

- Conduct analyses in this data to determine the dominant axes of complexity

- Compare this view with the associated configuration.

·  Required skills :

You are preparing a diploma level Bac+ 5, in Mechanical Engineering/ Aeronautical Maintenance or equivalent, and you obtain following competences:

- English: ADVANCED

- French: NEGOTIATION

- Your first experience in project management and/or subcontracted mechanical design

- You are interested in aeronautics, process industrialization and digitalization

- You have a good knowledge of mechanical design

- You are able to use such tools as CATIA and Python

- Rigorous, curious and autonomous

- Able to integrate into team and be a flexible team player

- Have organizational skills

- Able to analyze and synthesize information.

Depending on the specifics of the offer, you may have to travel to another locations.
