We are looking for Internship on Autonomous trajectory calculation (m/f) who will be joining us at Airbus site in Toulouse .
This internship is to be filled from Feb, 3rd 2020 to Sept 7th 2020.
You will be joining the department Flight and Integration Tests and more precisely the Autopilot testing team which is in charge of developing and verifying systems and aircraft physics on
Simulators, before flight testing for final validation. This team is responsible of Autopilot integration tests, flights test analysis and lead innovation activities related to the discipline on all Airbus aircraft programs. Our top objective is to deliver higher safety standards, more mature products, innovative solutions, while rethinking our way of working.
The objective of the internship is to develop the computation of aircraft trajectory (position and speed) using the data analysis of in service and production aircraft during automatic approaches. The main challenge is to compute an accurate trajectory, on low instrumented aircraft, only aircraft system parameters are available.
· Tasks and Responsibilities :
You will be working under the supervision of your manager who will help you identify your professional objectives and support you in the development of your skills.
Your main activities will include:
· make an “as is “ of the existing methods, availability of parameters on Production aircraft and In service Aircraft regarding inertial & air data sensors, as well as guidance sensors for the specific case of automatic approach
· prototype algorithm on development aircraft to validate and assess the accuracy against reference measurements
· deploy algorithm on production tests and in service data
· Required skills :
You are preparing a diploma level Bac+ 5 Master or engineering school or equivalent, with specialisation in aeronautics, with following competences: : flight mechanics signal processing, filtering.
- English: INTERMEDIATE
- French: INTERMEDIATE
- First experience in data analysis
- Good knowledge of aircraft sensors, Python coding
· Soft skills:
- Rigorous, curious and autonomous
- Able to integrate into team and be a flexible team player: multi-team interaction is a key factor for this internship
- Able to analyze and synthesize information
