Our internships give a unique insight into potential career paths within Airbus. They are designed so that you can put your theoretical knowledge into practice and gain crucial industry experience. The skills and knowledge you gain will improve your chances of a future role within the Airbus and should benefit your future studies.

You will be co-located with a dedicated wing engineering team in the Filton plant responsible for the complete assembly of the A400M wing and A350 Gear Beam Assembly. You will be exposed to it all!

This is an excellent opportunity as you will not only gain an insight into engineering but also the operational (plant) side of Airbus. The plant engineering and continuous product development team, work cohesively with plant management, quality/quality excellence, manufacturing engineering/tooling, logistics, hi-lift, systems and Chief Engineers to ensure the plant and the fleet are enabled.

Tasks:

During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include;

·  Supporting build support queries and plant multi-functional teams
·  Answering and validating non-conformances, design query notes
·  Answering engineering query notes and quality events
·  Identifying and validating plant improvement modifications
·  Technical/Interface support to our suppliers and final assembly line, when required
·  Assessing safety and airworthiness task
·  Supporting major in-service issues
·  Assessing and validating modifications (major and clerical)

Our Internships are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;

·  Studying towards and Engineering degree
·  Interest in Airbus and Aerospace technologies and materials
·  Interest in working within a support/reactive environment where you can develop new skills

You have the ability to flex your working hours (within the agreed corporate flexible working agreement) to support deliverables
