Job Description

A vacancy for a Maintenance Engineer for Technical Data (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Hamburg at the earliest possible start date. You will join the Air Systems department.

The operational unit 'Technical Data' is in charge of developing and delivering aircraft maintenance and material documentation to enable the safety and efficiency of maintenance operations by the customer.
The position is offered within the German System domain, which is, among other products, delivering content for the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) and Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC).

You will be responsible for Air Systems and Oxygen Systems in all aircraft programs. This position offers a wide view on the aircraft systems.

Technical Data's main mission is to deliver the complete documentation at aircraft entry into service and to maintain it all along the aircraft life cycle.
In this context the main challenge is to define precisely the consequences of the design changes on the already published documentation and to understand the immediate impact on customer operations.

·  Management and answering customer queries providing prompt and efficient support to the customer, combining technical requirements with the push to improve customer satisfaction and detecting any potential safety impact
·  Assessment of aircraft design inputs (e.g. Modifications, Service Bulletin) in order to detect design changes that drive evolution of aircraft technical maintenance data in Airbus Manuals
·  Management and monitoring of the subcontractors supporting the authoring activities
·  Proactive identification of blocking points which could risk the timely update of manuals within your responsibility and defining mitigation action plus execution and follow up
·  Constant assessment of your manual content in terms of quality assurance in order to identify possible issues in the already available documentation before they would have an impact on our customers
·  Act as an interface between Technical Data, the customers and all the other Airbus internal contributors (Design Office, Programs, Delivery Center, other Customer Services units, etc.)
·  Drive the innovation of the technical data documentation

This role will involve occasional travel for business (quarterly) in Europe.
