As Manufacturing Design Engineer (m/f/d) in Airbus Commercial you will develop methods and digital solutions to realize efficiency improvements and performance enhancements. Let us mature industrial solutions to address aircraft program challenges.

This position belongs to the Production System Efficiency Centre of Competence. The selected candidate will join Industrial System Design and Modelling organization. We provide new processes, methods and tools (including design, modelling and simulation) to improve and predict our industrial performance. The scope covers plants, final assembly lines and industrial strategy & systems. You will report to the Head of Industrial System Design and Modelling (DLMD)

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  You will provide industrial system expertise through process methods and tools on all the manufacturing stakes to be optimized (production cost, quality, lead-time, flexibility, time to market, etc.) by integrating worker, machine, material and information flows using digital means and models.
·  You will collect and define Lean Line Design guidelines and best practices to be applied on existing and new industrial systems.
·  You will define and deliver industrial system design ways of working (processes, methods and tools including Model Based Systems Engineering capabilities and requirements) to contribute to the development of a digital design and manufacturing approach.
·  Also you will be responsible for increasing the knowledge and autonomy of our plant community by supporting the implementation of the industrial system design way of working and best practices in manufacturing areas.

What we expect from you:

·  An academic degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or a similar field of study
·  A solid knowledge of Production Management and Industrialization principles.
·  Proven operational experience in implementing & leading industrial Lean/Continuous Improvement projects demonstrating tangible & sustainable results.
·  Operational experience in the Implementation and Optimization of industrial systems (Design Phase, Implementation and Management of Production Processes).
·  You are at ease with 3D computing & have some Line Modelling experience.
·  The ability to influence and deal with transformation processes in an international environment.
·  Pragmatism and pro-active approach to propose solution.
·  Your English is business fluent, German is a plus.
·  You are open for frequent travel for business once or twice a month in Europe
