Description of the job :
I4D Backend Solutions is a set of home-products of Airbus DS (CIS-INT) designed to store, catalogue and disseminate geospatial data from various sources such as Pleiades satellite images. It consists of core reusable components, along with plugins designed for specific projects. It is deployed either on legacy baremetal infrastructures or on cloud environments. It is actively maintained and fosters significant developments in an innovative context, mainly in the field of intelligence centers.

A vacancy for a I4D Backend Software Developer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Task & accountabilities :
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
¤ You contribute to the development of I4D backend features, in an agile awareness
¤ You analyze defects and implements bug fixes as well as evolutions
¤ You participate actively to the definition of the technical roadmap
¤ You write the reference design documentation
¤ You work closely with system architects in order to meet the technical and functional expectations
¤ You drive specific technical studies (spikes) in order to assess the viability of critical choices
¤ You keep the pace with the various technologies, standards and protocols in use
¤ You participate in the scaled-agile organization meetings

This role will involve occasional travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills :
You will have the following skills and experience:
¤ Educated to a Master's degree in information technology
¤ Strong experience of Java on backend systems, and possibly other languages such as C#
¤ Good experience in software design and architecture, particularly in geomatics contexts
¤ Basic experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
¤ Good knowledge in ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL and also Git, SonarQube and Docker
¤ Good experience in agile environments
¤ Synthetic, rigorous and consistent.
¤ Proactive, good communication and team spirit

Fluent in English.
