Job Description

A vacancy for an Airworthiness expert Avionic Systems / HMI (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in Marignane. You will ensure adequate certification strategies definition and knowledge for Airbus Helicopters Airworthiness Office (AWO) as far as Avionics (from communications to autonomous flight controls systems) and any complex system on-boarded on all vertical solutions portfolio are concerned.

This position requires specific security clearance as it covers civil and governmental programs.

Main tasks and missions, duties:

In cooperation with design offices designers and specialist, you steer certification strategy which objectives are to ensure safety objectives are met and in line with aviation safety recommendations.

This steering role is positioning you towards Airbus group counterparts and external stakeholders and/or partners.

Especially, covered fields are related to :

· 
Human factors and flight controls (auto-pilot, fly-by-wires…);

· 
Avionics systems (sensors, radio communication, navigation, HMS/D…) and/or novel complex systems;

· 
Software and/or airborne electronic hardware.

You ensure appropriate training towards design office colleagues enhancing awareness about latest rule making standards and rules.

You represent Airbus Helicopters in the frame of rule making and standardization working group related to the avionics and human factors fields. Note, that business trips would be necessary within Europe and world-wide to sustain this aspect of the job.

Required skills:

You are graduated with:

· 
Engineer degree in electronics or avionics field

· 
Or engineer degree in aeronautics field

You have been working as

· 
in design office as system/electronic/software designer for at least 5 years

· 
You have gained at least 10 years’ experience in total

· 
Project management will be considered

· 
Any airworthiness role like CVE (Compliance Verification Engineer) will be an asset
