Job Description

A vacancy for an EME System Verification Engineer (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join “EMC Testing GE”.

Your main responsiblities will include:

·  Definition, preparation, performance, analysis, evaluation and documentation of on-A/C verification tests with respect to EME (Electromagnetic Effects incl. Electromagnetic Compatibility, Electromagnetic Interference)
·  Definition and preparation of test procedure, required test instrumentation, RF field generation test set-ups, test control and data acquisition set-ups
·  Preparation of test A/C w.r.t specific instrumentation
·  Performance and documentation of EMC on-A/C test campaigns incl. online data evaluation
·  Overall data evaluation and preparation of final verification test report
·  Definition, preparation, performance, analysis, evaluation and documentation of EMC/RF measurements and tests on equipment- and subsystem-level.
·  Definition, preparation, performance, analysis, evaluation and documentation of antenna related measurements (e.g. interference/ decoupling, integration or radiation pattern)
·  Analysis of human safety within electromagnetic fields (EMF) acc. to legal requirements and trade association (BG) regulations
·  Analysis of Product Regulatory Compliance (CE) at system and subsystem level

Ideally you bring along the following qualification and experiences:

·  University degree (or equivalent) in engineering focused on electro techniques, communication techniques, high frequency techniques or equivalent
·  EMS verification on system / equipment level
·  EMC standards, guidelines and test techniques/ methods
·  EMC test laboratory procedures (acc. to ISO/IEC 17025)
·  High frequency  measuring technique
·  EMC Product Regulatory Compliance (2014/30/EU)
·  EMF acc. to legal requirements and trade association (BG) regulations
·  MATLAB
·  You show a self-motivated and proactive working style and team spirit
·  You are flexible, disciplined and well balanced
·  You are prepared for for business trips, support measurement campaigns in two shift work
·  Fluent written and spoken English and German
