A vacancy for a Solution Architect (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join the Digital Workplace organisation within the Information Management department.  

The goal of Digital Workplace organisation is to enable Airbus employees across Europe to securely collaborate and access their data in any place, at any time, from any device, and thus improve cross functional collaboration, productivity and transparency. This is achieved through the deployment of new tools and technologies and a clear defined strategy supported by effective transformation plan and operational controls.

As a Solution Architect (m/f) for the “Applications & Store” product line, your role will be to design the architecture system for the cloud migration of applications deployed on laptop and smartphone devices. You will work in a cross-functional environment to address a wide scope of business needs and ensure an optimized UX through flexible and sustainable products and devices.

Tasks & accountabilities

To engage the “Applications & Store” transformation plan, your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Analysing and understanding business processes and their challenges
·  Building the architecture Vision and roadmap in line with the Enterprise Architecture guidelines
·  Designing functional & technical solution architecture using best of the art combination of technologies in line with Airbus Information Management strategy (Cloud, DevOps, Security...)
·  Ensuring consistency, compliance and documentation of architecture for your customers
·  Working with internal teams (which can be across different geographic locations) and partners to manage and deliver successful solutions
·  Be a trusted technical advisor to build confidence and ensure customer success when implementing these technology solutions

This role will involve some travel for business in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You have the following skills and experiences:

·  Master’s degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field
·  Strong Solution Architect experience (functional and technical)
·  5+ years design & implementation experience on complex, large scale distributed applications
·  Experience working with architectures on various platforms, such as web applications and services, mobile applications (Microservices, Cloud Native experience - AWS preferred, Android and/or iOS)
·  Risk base approach, creative and Innovative thinking
·  Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthetize complex information and present them to stakeholders management
·  Team Player and collaborative mind-set
·  Advanced level in French and negotiation level in English.
