Description of the job

Do you want to shape the future airframe of Airbus? Then join our Research & Technology (R&T) team in Toulouse.

We are working in several projects to develop the technologies for the next generation sustainable Airbus aircraft.

Our objective is the technology leadership for airframe based on a wide Engineering knowledge and experience in developing innovative solutions and working in a dynamic agile way in multidisciplinary and transnational teams.

You will work for the long-term objective of Airbus of a zero-emission flight.

Tasks & accountabilities

In your first task you will be responsible for performing the design work for the technology bricks development projects. During this phase you will perform design trades as well as develop the needed design principles according to the technology brick.

You will also perform the design work for the definition dossier of test articles for structural mechanical and manufacturing test articles.  You will be requested to work very intensively with the manufacturing and industrial experts.

It is intended to use new design tools and methods.

All the expected tasks require a high level of innovation spirit, flexibility in the way of thinking and an open mind set.

This role can involve regular travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a 5 years’ degree in Engineering,
·  First experience in CATIA V5 and/or 3DX beneficial,
·  Knowledge in primary structure required
·  Open minded spirit and Problem solving oriented mindset,
·  Team spirit and strong communication skills is a must,
·  English at negotiation level.
