Purpose & Function:

The purpose of this role is to :-

· Support Senior Legal Counsel to provide a full and comprehensive range of in house legal services to Global Operations functions in Asia in particular Global Sourcing as well as other Group Functions operating out of adidas Sourcing Limited and adidas Services Limited (“aSL”)
· support Senior Legal Counsel to rollout global initiatives
· ensure legal compliance, increased risk awareness as well as transparency.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide legal advice and suggest action plan or solution to business stakeholders on their day-to-day business operations
· Investigate, research and resolve legal matters within corporate policies to achieve an advantageous company position
· Responsible for providing, overseeing and facilitating legal services including counselling, contract review, drafting and negotiation, structuring of transactions, legal risk assessment, and dispute avoidance to protect interests of adidas Group
· Establish relevant legal policies and procedures to better protect the group’s interests
· Provide relevant training to raise legal awareness and ensure compliance
· Work with business stakeholders to gather all relevant information and instructions to draft the necessary documentation for any business engagement
· Work closely with the other legal departments of the adidas Group (including the IP teams) to ensure effective collaboration to support Global Operations including Product Operations to achieve an advantageous position for the adidas Group

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

· Strong background in contract drafting and negotiation
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills required in order to liaise with internal and/or external parties in confidential matters
· Good knowledge of intellectual property laws (particularly in respect of product development issues) would be highly advantageous
· Business fluency in English (written and spoken). Ability to write and speak Chinese (Cantonese) would be advantageous
· Excellent client relations management skills (including ability to interact with clients with all levels)
· Strong commercial sense and ability to make practical evaluations of risks
· Ability to work independently
· High degree of stakeholder orientation and appropriate prioritization
· Excellent analytical skills in order to analyze complex issues and to improve processes and techniques

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

· A Hong Kong or commonwealth qualified solicitor with at least 4 years' post qualification experience, preferably with relevant in-house experience

Solid experience in general corporate work, commercial contracts and employment law
