TECHNICAL SUPPORT OFFICER

CROYDON

£14.51 (PAYE) £17.86 (UMBRELLA) HOURLY RATE

MONDAY - FRIDAY 9am - 5pm

6 MONTHS (POSSIBILITY OF BEING EXTENDED)

IMMEDIATE START

THE PURPOSE OF A TECHNICAL SUPPORT OFFICER IS:

·  Providing the administrative and technical support function for the Building Control Service.

·  Giving advice and assistance as appropriate on behalf of the department.

A TECHNICAL SUPPORT OFFICER

·  Managing the validation process for all applications received, checking application forms are fully compliant with legislative requirements.

·  Managing data entry of applications.

·  Managing correspondence and fees received.

·  Managing provision of technical information.

·  Managing site visit appointments.

·  Managing provision of historic information.

·  Managing provision of property history database.

·  Identifying and act on reported dangerous structure incidents.

·  Managing site inspection invoices.

·  Managing the maintenance of the application file system

·  Managing the competent persons register

·  Provide assistance and support to the building control technical support and surveying teams.

A TECHNICAL SUPPORT OFFICER MUST HAVE:

·  Clear spoken English

·  Clear written English

·  Great telephone experience dealing with members of the public.

·  Accurate data input.

·  Experience of working in a very busy environment.
