RESETTLEMENT & HOMELESS PREVENTION OFFICER

TWICKENHAM

MONDAY- FRIDAY 9AM- 5PM

3 MONTH ASSIGNMENT (POTENTIAL TO BE EXTENDED)

£24.69 HOURLY RATE

ASAP START

MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

·  To provide practical support to vulnerable service users who are being provided with accommodation.

·  To teach service users the skills required to successfully maintain a tenancy and to live independently in the community.

·  To provide a first point of contact for service users wishing to make a homeless application.

·  To advise on a diverse range of issues including homeless prevention, landlord and tenant issues, homeless solutions and liaising with internal and external services.

·  To devise a Personalised Housing Plan with applicants with the primary aim of preventing homelessness.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

·  Experience of supporting vulnerable service users

·  Excellent knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 and Homeless Reduction Act 2017

·  Excellent communication skills
