This is a great opportunity for a Qualified social worker to work within a busy Referral and Asessment team. This is a Temporary Social Work position based in Croydon. As a Qualified social worker, you will be dealing with a caseload of complex care needs.

Your responsibilities as a Qualified Social Worker:

·  Manage a caseload where children or younger people are in Need and subject to Child Protection Plans, LAC and/or Leaving Care.

·  To deliver relevant interventions in order to safeguard children and ensure their needs are met whilst also aiming to effect long-term positive change to improve the life experiences of vulnerable children and younger people

·  To keep children safe and to undertake or contribute towards child protection investigations and to provide assessments and recommendations that facilitate decision-making by appropriate line managers.

·  To provide clear verbal and written reports to a high standard which may be used in a wide range of meetings and legal proceedings.

·  To maintain accurate and full records of contact and interventions with service users in line with the department's policies and procedures.

·  Ensure that children experience a positive transition between services and between childhood and adulthood.

·  To participate in duty systems as required

Requirements for you as a Qualified Social Worker:

·  Qualified Social Worker BA/DipSW/CQSW or equivalent

·  Current registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)

·  Must have at least three years post qualifying experience with children
