Adecco are currently recruiting for a QC Goods Inwards Inspector to work for one of our top clients based in the Skelmersdale area. The role is temporary and is paying £12.41ph.
Main Duties:
· Complete QC Goods-in inspection activities, measure and check materials against drawings, generate inspection reports using the business system as required to meet daily production needs.
· Review supplier documentation packs to ensure compliance to PO, Technical Purchasing Specifications, customer specifications and international standards i.e. ASTM etc.
· Interpret technical documentation i.e. welding and coating documentation to ensure compliance to relevant specifications.
· Recognise non-conforming conditions, raise Supplier NCRs, work with the Supply Chain team to ensure material is dispositioned in a timely manner and drive timely and effective responses from suppliers.
· Ensure supplier NCR responses are reviewed for effectiveness and fed back to the Supply Chain team.
· Support Supplier Quality Engineer to carry out supplier audits to the supplier audit schedule in line with business requirements. Ensure any actions resulting from audits are effectively followed up.
· Support the Supplier Quality Engineer ensuring that contractual obligations to carry out surveillance activities on suppliers or subcontractors are met. Generate reports as required.
· Travelling to suppliers as necessary, to follow up on actions and make recommendations where required.
· Develop and/or implement continuous improvement, best practice tools and techniques.
· Work with suppliers to incorporate process and equipment improvements into the specifications and design of new products developed. Drive process qualification and integration.
· Assist with internal QC investigations and activities if necessary.
· Act as deputy for Supplier Quality Engineer when required - ensure GI team is led effectively on these occasions, attend and lead any meetings, liaise with Quality Manager as required.
· Complete and present data analyses currently completed by Supplier Quality Engineer, if required
· Take lead within Goods Inwards team on supplier documentation issues, take ownership for supplier documentation issues log and ensure NCRs are being raised as appropriate.
· Ensure Goods Inwards team are utilising business systems effectively, take ownership for any issues raised.
· Ensure strict compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures with reference to health, safety and quality.
Education Required:
· HND Qualification, or equivalent, level in a manufacturing, engineering or sciences discipline
· CSWIP/BGAS/NACE Coating/ Paintings Qualification level 2
· CSWIP level 1- 3.0 Visual welding Inspection qualification
· CSWIP level 2- 3.1 Welding Inspection qualification
