Purchasing Assistant / Administrator Wanted

Based in Brierley Hill area

Permanent Role

Salary £18,000 - £20,000PA

My client is currently looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join their organisation based within the Brierley Hill area.

Successful Candidates:

·  Will have previous experience within a purchasing support role

·  Experience within construction and or engineering will be highly advantageous

·  Knowledge of purchasing software

·  Understanding the buying process

·  Liaison with sub-contract / supply chain to ensure correct allowances within estimate quantities

·  Experience of working in a busy office

·  Practical and problem-solving knowledge

·  Good organisation skills

·  Enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed attitude

·  IT literate using word / excel

The Role:

·  Ensure timely issue of enquires to our supply chain.

·  Ensure orders are placed to meet programmes requirements.

·  Liaise with the management team and ensure jobs are issued in good time to meet deadlines.

·  Liaise with specialist suppliers to ensure all projects can be carried out in the most cost-effective way.

·  Ensure enquiries are sent to sub-contractors and suppliers with the anticipated procurement programme, to gain cost certainty, to meet the build programme.

·  Monitoring delivery dates.

·  Use of purchasing software.

·  Ensures orders are raised with consideration against time, cost and quality.

·  Negotiation skills.
