Property Underwriter

Location: Canary Wharf

Salary/Rate: £27,000 - £32,000 annum

Type: Full time, permanent

Our client is a high-end property business based in Canary Wharf are looking for a Property Underwriter to join their team. The purpose of this job role is to provide industry knowledge to support the property team. The successful candidate will be joining a team of 5 and will ideally have a background/ interest in the property sector.

Duties include but are not limited to:

·  Use industry knowledge and experience to research potential Part Exchange properties

·  Speak with estate agents to organise valuations

·  Keep fully compliant with up to date legislation and best practice procedures

·  Act as central contact for estate agents

·  Arrange and attend meetings with current and prospect clients

·  Answer the telephone when other team members are occupied and refer calls to the appropriate member of the department.

·  Attend team meetings.

·  Support and assist the property team with administration in the absence of other team members.

·  Create weekly reports on excel.

·  Update property files with the latest information from developers

·  With strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills you will also possess ability to plan, organise, prioritise and manage time.

·  Support CEO with other office related administrative tasks.

·  Ensure all correspondence is responded to as and when received.

Key Skills:

·  Previous estate agency experience

·  Interest in property

·  Professional approach

·  Excellent communication skills

·  Customer-focused with commitment to maintaining excellent service standards at all times

·  Organised and systematic - able to prioritise workloads

·  Good working knowledge of Microsoft systems

·  Proactive with good time-management and ability to multi task
