Our client who is based on the outskirts of York is a leading manufacturer who have recently repurposed their lines to produce hand sanitiser. Due to growth our client is now looking to recruit 2 Production Operatives to work on a temporary to permanent basis.

To be a team member in the production function who focuses on quality control and line operative work. Ensuring you work in a safe and effective manner to support the business in achieving their production targets.

As a Production Operative your responsibilities will include;

·  Supporting on a production line ensuring product is packed in line with customer specification in a timely manner.

·  Good visual analysis to enable you to differentiate between different chemical signs.

·  To maintain levels of Quality Control

·  To maintain levels of housekeeping and ensure all recycling initiatives are adhered too

·  To work effectively and safety in line with all Health & Safety requirements

·  To carry out any other duties within the broad remit of the role as requested from time to time by the relevant supervisors and managers.

The successful Production Operative will have;

·  Work experience in a Production or Warehouse role

·  Experience of working under time pressures.

·  Adequate literacy and numeracy levels for the role.

·  Good communication skills for liaising with colleagues.

·  Self-disciplined with a methodical and organised working style - able to manage own work load, quality and output effectively.

·  Reliable and punctual.

·  Willingness to learn.

·  Able to appreciate and fit into a Customer focused and Continuous Improvement environment.

·  Willing and able to work shifts when required

Hours of work will be 6:00 am to 2:00 pm or 2:00pm to 10:00pm

Pay rate is £8.72 to £9.00 per hour

This is a Temporary to Permanent position.
