Adecco are currently recruiting for a Production Engineer to join our local client in Ayrshire on a permanent basis.

Your role will be to provide engineering support to the production teams. Preparing and issuing engineering documentation, preparing Engineering change orders and structuring BoM's and other structured procedures as defined by company and national standards.

You will have many responsibilities, some will include:

* Work towards and achieve departmental objectives in terms of robust engineering solutions, properly documented and delivered within agreed timescales

* Prepare and issues technical works instructions to the shop floor covering both mechanical and electrical disciplines

* Prepare and execute engineering change orders

* To provide technical support to the relevant Production team. Support management team with safety critical assessments

* Review and action industry NIR's

* Provide technical input into tenders and contract submissions

* Observe and propose best working practices applicable, but workable with minimum overhead. Apply Professional judgement based on data & information

* Provide Engineering support to Wheel shop business unit

To be considered for this role you must have the following:

* Experience in the Rail industry is highly desirable

* Excellent organisational, time management and planning skills

* Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

* Degree Qualified - Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent

* Excellent Microsoft Office capabilities

* Ability to work on own initiative
