Job Title: Permitting Officer
Pay Rate: £16.31
Duration: 3 Months
Location: Ealing
Hours: Full time 35 Per Week
PURPOSE OF ROLE:
� To process applications for street trading licences, utilities and road works permits, and scaffolding and temporary structure permits and to ensure these are entered correctly into the appropriate databases.
� To keep all budgeting spreadsheets and reports correct and up to date.
� To own the permitting process from beginning to end and to ensure that all steps are followed correctly.
� To liaise with enforcement and inspection teams to ensure full compliance with permitting regulations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Respond to all enquiries and applications within the service level agreements
· Enter all information accurately into the appropriate database
· Provide cover for other permitting team members during holiday or illness
· Identify upcoming permit expiration dates and follow up with customers accordingly
· Identify billing and payment irregularities
· Stay up to date with amendments to the London Local Authorities Act, the Highways Act, and other relevant legislation
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
� Respond to queries and applications according to service level agreements
� Enter data accurately into appropriate database
� Create permit lists for enforcement team
� Compliance with Ealing policies including data handling
