Payroll Assistant

6 Month FTC with possibility of going Permanent

Annual Salary: £19,000 - £21,000

About the Role

The purpose of the role is to manage the weekly returns and the input of variable pay, holidays, and sickness onto coins. Updating the Cascade system with absence and holidays and assisting employees with pay related queries. Key responsibilities:

·  Input of variable pay, holidays and sickness into COINS.

·  Ensuring the accuracy of wage information & records

·  Ability to work to tight deadlines

·  Liaising with contract managers, supervisors and admin teams regarding submission and content of weekly returns and any employee issues with payments.

·  Input of holidays and sickness onto the Cascade system

·  Reporting from the Cascade system

·  Working in line with payroll timetable

·  Providing 1 st line support to employees relating to payroll queries via telephone and email.

·  Good internal & external communication

·  Liaising with the Tamworth payroll team to ensure payments are made and all relevant information required is supplied

·  Form & develop relationships with customers and colleagues

·  Deliver accurate, targeted and timely information / reporting / monitoring

·  Understanding the requirements of confidentiality to personal details and pay.

·  Ensure that copies of all relevant documents are retained electronically.

·  Other administration duties as required

About You

The Finance job family includes roles that support financial reporting, year-end statutory audit, monthly management accounts, payroll functions and business analysis to support the wider business.

The successful person will have:

·  Ability to use a range of Microsoft packages

·  Previous payroll experience is preferred

·  Previous COINS knowledge is advantageous

·  Excellent communication skills required

·  Excellent organisational skills

·  Ability to demonstrate high levels of accuracy
