An exciting opportunity for an entry level Merchandise Assistant based at our clients Head Office in Carlisle.
This position is ideal for someone who is looking to get in a career in either buying or merchandising within a head office environment.
The ideal candidate would -
· Have grade C or higher in GCSE Maths
· Have excellent computer skills, particularly excel
· Be a good communicator
· Have good time management skills
· Able to work as part of a team
· Able to work in a fast paced industry
· Have a passion for retail
· Have high attention to detail
· Have strong analytical skills
About the job role -
Reporting to the departmental Merchandiser the role is to ensure correct stock levels are within the retail stores and online via an in-house computer system. You will deal with day to day queries from stores and area management to ensure good relationships are maintained.
As a valued member of the team you will also experience the processes involved in buying and merchandising. You will also undertake store visits with the team to gain a better understanding of our group.
As your experience grows you will gain additional responsibilities that will allow you to develop your skills to progress your career in the retail head office as the opportunity arises.
