We are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to work for a large, successful, employer of choice based in West Cumbria.

Working within a busy finance department, of a large manufacturing company, the successful candidate will report to the Financial Controller and be:

·  Qualified management accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or AAT)

·  SAP experience

·  Experienced in use of Microsoft Office (in particular Excel)

Key duties of the role:

·  Providing Accounting support to the Production departments

·  Investigate Production performance - reviewing job costs

·  Calculating Waste and investigating Waste and Efficiencies

·  Tracking raw Materials - and alignment with Pricing

·  Reporting Monthly Production performance, reporting on results, to Business Unit Mgmt team

·  Identifying and analysing variances to plan/PY

·  Challenging variances to plan

·  Forecasting remainder of year spend

·  Highlighting areas of risk and opportunity

·  Supporting WC initiatives, driving down inventories and improved S&OP process

·  Supporting Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives

·  Helping to create monthly Management reporting Packs

·  Investigating various operational KPI's

·  Month end activity in preparation of financial results

·  Drive the site's cost reduction agenda

·  Checking the integrity of data and ensuring accurate information is given to management in order to drive the business forward

·  Articulate financial and non financial information to all levels of the organisation

·  Assist with other tasks within the department in both Management and Financial accounting

·  Ad hoc analyses as and when required
