Adecco Croydon are proud to be working with a fantastic company in the Coulsdon area, recruiting for a M&E Estimator.

Responsibilities

·  Managing the tender bid process from receipt of initial enquiry to final submission.

·  Control and organise tender documentation.

·  Analyse drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare a compliant bid, including all clarifications and exclusions.

·  Produce accurate cost plans and benchmarking against similar projects.

·  Produce a detailed bill of quantities.

·  Liaison with clients, design consultants, suppliers and sub-contractors.

·  Managing enquiries for all equipment, plant, materials and relevant sub-contractors.

·  Propose any possible value engineering option to our bid.

·  Identify tender risk & opportunities; Practical, Commercial and Contractual.

·  Negotiating with clients.

·  Following the submission of tenders, ensuring tenders are chased, and all relevant people are kept informed of the bid prospects.

·  Assist with all commercial change on projects and accurately costing them with collating all relevant documenting as per contract requirements.

Requirements

·  Previous Mechanical estimating experience

·  Some Electrical estimating experience would be a great advantage

·  Sound technical knowledge of mechanical systems is essential.

·  The ability to work to tight deadlines.

·  Great analytical skills.

·  Good communication and organisation skills.

·  Ability to work on own initiative with confidence and accuracy.

·  Proficient in the use of Microsoft products such as Excel and Word.

·  Willingness to take personal responsibility and work independently.

The salary is negotiable depending upon experience!
