The position of Logistics Scheduler holds responsibility for ensuring all contracts are properly serviced with the correct stock, vehicles and labour. The Logistics Scheduler will support the Logistics & Stock Manager ensuring contract resource is appropriate, timely and well coordinated. The position also includes responsibilities for the correct administering of department paperwork and data relating to procurement and stock control.
Roles, Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Key Duties (not exhaustive)
To continue to professionally develop and to set and achieve objectives through appraisal
To ensure that all company equipment and mobile phones are kept in good working order and care is taken to ensure that equipment is not damaged
Responsible for the day to day coordination of the logistics
To support the Logistics & Stock Manager with all stock in the division, ensuring accurate site and yard stock figures are recorded daily and issues raised and resolved promptly
Responsible for updating of the operations, stock and logistics diaries and any related documentation.
Responsible for communicating depot activity with the depot staff and producing accurate and clear loading lists with a reasonable period of notice.
Responsibility for administering all compliance against rules and restrictions
To assist the Logistics & Stock Manager with the coordination and resolution of penalty and parking charges
To provide cover for the operational department at least one weekend in every four.
Control
Management of understanding and adherence to health and safety legislation and policy
To support the Logistics & Stock Manager with the download and Policing of Vehicle and Driver Tachograph cards.
Ensure transport is used efficiently and effectively, delivering best value
Ensure labour is used efficiently and effectively, delivering best value
Understanding of company policies and procedures and management there of
Attendance and contribution to all appropriate meetings
The measurement and management of non-conformance and issues using an appropriate system
The allocation of paperwork to ensure all crews have the necessary information.
The updating of the board, diaries and related documents.
Track all internal vehicles to ensure there is no misuse etc.
