I am currently recruiting for a Learning and Teaching Support officer to work within a busy department on a temporary basis.

The right candidate will provide dedicated school-based support to improve student experience and academic engagement.

The duties of this role include, but are not limited to:

·  To plan, implement, maintain and provide direct and indirect learner support.

·  To be the main point of contact for students in relation to pastoral matters, and to act as a resource for staff within the school with regard to pastoral support procedures and systems.

·  To provide advice and support to all Academic Tutors within the school

·  Experience of providing specialist advice and guidance to students

The skills and experience required for this role includes:

·  Good understanding of issues affecting students learning experience in a diverse higher education enviroment

·  Ability to absorb, analyse and evaluate complex information, policies and codes of practice in order to advise others.

·  Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, use of email and the internet.

·  To maintain confidential records and databases in line with GDPR

·  Record the manner in which issues were addressed/resolved.

·  To act as a member of the team of student learning and teaching support officers, to share good practise and contribute to the development of the role.
